Is This Love? (Part VI) - Her Version

"MISCHANCE"

It’s 11 o’clock in the evening
She pulled her memory stick
Her sister said “let’s go”
She answered “last two minutes”.

The older sister finished her biz
Then settled in one corner
Inserted a pair of earpiece
It’s Papa Jack’s love advice.

She looked at the clock
And revisited her FB account
Nothing seemed interesting
In news feed or pinned posts.

She turned to callout box
Clicked the message button
With a simple greeting
She sent to a strange guy.”

Upon opening the message box
She saw the word “typing…”
Paused for a moment
Eyes frozen on the screen.

In not less than a minute
The word “typing” disappeared
She was surprised to realize

There was no reply to a simple “Hi.”

Why I ♥ Blogging?

Have you found something that you can be enthusiastic about?

I think I have found one.

Though I am far from being called a writer, blogging makes me feel like I am. A writing position was one of my wildest dreams after graduating in college. So when opportunity knocked on my door three years ago, I grabbed it only to realize in the end that I cannot be a writer- a professional writer. It was during those times that I wished tomorrow is always a Sunday – NO WORK. I loved the company. I loved the people. But there was one big problem: my performance was pathetic. Seriously. But since writing is one thing that I enjoy doing, I have continued my failed ambition not as a professional writer but a blogger. I blog for a very simple reason: blogging makes me happy.

If you will notice most of my posts were written in English language. Actually, this is a sort of self-training to constantly think in this lingo. This self- training is not a preparation for international beauty pageant but for other purposes more important than a crown (e.g. finding a job). Though English proficiency is not always a requirement, it's still an asset. Meanwhile, please bear with my incorrect grammar, misspelled words, wrong use of punctuation marks and simple vocabulary. I'm a work in progress (I think so).

And lastly, I love blogging because in blogosphere I do not fear being fired.:p

Pasko Na Naman!

Maraming sumasaya as if magkakakilala tayo sa tunay na buhay.

Meh ganun!!! Lolz

First Love Never Dies

I miss the days when I was spending hours in front of this flat screen
Like a jigsaw puzzle I was trying to put the right words together.
My mind, my heart and my soul were in euphoria
I could feel the passion flowing in my blood streams.
I believe I have already reached the central point
But now I think I’m back to level one.
Upon realizing this I’m thinking of giving up my farm
And go back to blogging – to real blogging.
I have never envisioned this blog as an alternative to Twitter
I am really hoping that I can use this for a greater purpose.
But obviously I became unfaithful to my mission-vision
Got magnetized with the latest craze.
But there is a saying “First Love Never Dies”
And in this case I really think it’s true.

Introducing My New Crib

Welcome to my new crib "Child of the 80’s!"

I decided to change the title of this blog when I finally realized that kiddomind sounds too childish. I know. I know. The word child is identical to kiddo. That’s why I added the phrase “of the 80’s” which means I am already in my 20’s. But even though my age is already classified as an adult, the child in me still prevails. My perception about life may sound matured and serious at times but I still find pleasure on simple things like playing jump rope and reading gossips in pep. This blog is not made to advocate childishness but to hopefully bring out the beauty of a child.

In the last two weeks, I had a major makeover. I changed the skin of this blog. I exported posts from my two other blogs which you can now view here. One blog is already deleted; the other one I kept for private viewing only. Now, there are also posts written in Filipino language for much easier self expression. Pardon to my foreign blogger friends. :p

Since almost everything is relatively new, allow me to reintroduce myself again. The third installment.

(Drum Roll)

26 Things about Rej, a Child of the 80’s

1. Rej is not my real name. It is just one of the many names attached to my being.
2. I am a female. I have to say this because often times, people think I’m a “He.”
3. I used to love Math but hated it when xyz appeared in supposedly fun class discussion.
4. I enjoy the company of kids. In fact, I have berks ages 3-7. Maybe they think I’m one of them. And by the way, they call me ate Jennylyn. Why Jennylyn? That’s another story.
5. I am a photographer wannabe. I swear I’ll buy a professional camera when the price goes down to 1k. Slap me! I’m dreaming.
6. I love dogs. Who doesn’t?
7. I prefer vanilla ice cream over chocolate flavored. FIC is the best.
8. I watched Jackass the Movie in cinema theater all by myself. A friend urged me to watch it because its fun. Sure, it was. But I didn’t know it was also ridiculous. No wonder why the ticket seller asked me “Ilang taon ka na (How old are you)?”
9. I didn’t watch Sailormoon when I was a kid. At that time, WWF and Bioman were the household faves.
10. I am equipped with basic driving method. But I didn’t take it seriously since (1) there is nothing to drive and (2) even if there is, I feel uncomfortable having two pillows under my butt.
11. I know many people who like Chicken Salad. I don’t because of mayonaise. Chicken Salad looks delicious but I say No thanks, it’s all yours.12. Most women enjoy shopping for sandals or any footwear. For me, it’s the least exciting activity I could do inside the mall. Nothing fits. Dammit!
13. I enjoy recycling. That’s something I have learned to embrace when frugality has acquired residence in my brain.
14. I always have Nescafe moment in the morning and before sunset. Antonio Pueo is also good but only when it is served free.
15. Listening to different types of music is one of my favorite sources of entertainment bliss. I just hope music will learn to love me back.
16. When I was in college, I got a TRES grade in Civil Technology. Similar to a classmate whose number of absences is more than the number of times we saw her in class. Sometimes, life can be so unfair!
17. Kapitan Sino is the only book of Bob Ong that I haven’t read. I hope the next time I visit National Bookstore I can find one without a plastic. Reading a book in a standing position isn’t so difficult afterall.
18. Inang Yaya (Mother Nanny) is the movie I would like to see again. I love the Skeechers scene.
19. I don’t smoke for three reasons: (1) The smell is awful; (2) I don’t want to pollute my own lungs and (3) others too.
20. I don’t like the smell of boys when they sweat. Haha!
21. I am not a fan of horror movies. War and massacre movies are definitely not on my list too (regardless who directed the film including a National Artist).
22. I believe in my high school teacher’s lecture about the types of destiny: (1) Character is a destiny which we can control and (2) fate is destiny which we cannot control.
23. I am not showy. But I have my share of Cheesyness. Sobrang cheesy talaga. Yay!
24. I am so blessed to have good friends. I don’t see them often. But in my heart, I know they are just there.
25. I love being with family. Simply the best!
26. God loves me (and loves you too). :)

P.S. The photo above is me. The Epitome of Great Pretender. So, Beware! Bwahaha!

Blogging, My Instant Medicine

Dapat may lakad kami ngayon.

Tubig, kalamansi juice with honey at Biogesic ang nagsisilbing gamot. Doctor recommended? Sympre hindi. Adik lang talaga. :p

Birthday din ng pinsan ko ngayon. May kaunting handaan mamaya. Pilit kakalimutan ang fever. Chibugan ito. Yehey!

Blank

There are so many plots and ideas in my head but I could not get a whiff of introduction.

My second alternative is to post a video of one of my favorite preachers but the Embed code has been disabled.

I wanted to read posts of my blogger friends but my mind is drifting.

The failed attempts are driving me nuts! Dammit!

A Short Tour to Virtual Homes

She started blogging in 2005 when her “unemployed” status brought her to a place she never thought would be her virtual home. Writing (typing rather) was just a simple pastime – a way to ameliorate idleness. For this reason, five blogs were born one after the other: kiddomind, rej-idiosyncrasy (now rej-goneastray), oops-at-23, bam4a and mtv ayos.

The Description
kiddomind – tells a percentage of the lifestory of a twenty something creature who is more oftenly perceived as a kid rather than a young woman (height is one obvious factor). It is a blog that aims to share simple - inspiring - feel good - overjoyed - not too complicated opinions, facts and personal anecdotes.

rej-goneastray – is a compilation of stories with a dose of sadness and misery. However, towards the last part of every entry the author tries to convert the negative emotions into something that we could all learn from (hopefully).

oops-at-23 – are tales that talk about anything under the sun, written in Filipino language. Here, the writer tries to avoid being sentimental. The use of first personal pronoun – I, me, mine and myself is also limited. There are few times, however, she feels a strong desire to express herself in Tagalog. Or should I say she couldn’t translate her thoughts in English for the time being? In short, nosebleed!

bam4a – illustrates the adventures of 39 young adults who took up BAM which stands for Bachelor of Arts in Management at TUP, Manila from year 2000 to 2004. Their bond is equivalent to fun, fun, fun. Warning: Dito, bawal ang pikon!

mtvayos – is dedicated to her high school friends, barkada, dabarkads, berks, tropa or whatsoever. Time and unavoidable circumstances are the two major causes of the group’s physical separation but the memories of the good old days have kept the friendship alive in spirit.

About the Author

Rej is 25, female and Rej is not her real name. Rej is just one of the many names attached to her; a young woman who has no fashion sense, a kitchen disaster, a frustrated architect and doesn’t know how to swim. She has a lot of weaknesses but she prefers utilizing the many blessings she is receiving rather than dwelling to her numerous imperfections. At present, she is internally trying to decipher the track towards the realization of her dreams. Though her direction remains blurry, she is optimistic that there is a bright future ahead of her simply because there are people who are always willing to support her and most importantly there is God who loves her so much (and loves you too).

Her blogs will reveal to you her flaws and wrong decisions in life. Nevertheless, she is very certain that life is beautiful.

The Reason

Thank you Jesus
.

Everything Here is Senseless (or maybe not) - WAPAK!

Did you know that it takes me hours (sometimes days) to finish one post? The process is actually very simple. Just two steps:

First step: Make a draft in MS Word.
Second step: Post it immediately in my blog.

I sometimes get too overly excited to see a new post in my blog so I post it regardless if there’s wrong grammar or wrong spelled. Afterall, I’m not an English teacher or a professional writer. I also never got a grade of 1.0 in English when I was in college. So, care ko kung mali! Then I would realize simple grammar lang etech mali pa… So, edit, edit, edit. Well, the editing procedure is actually longer than you can imagine. Sometimes, endless.

Why do I still write if a lot of time is wasted?

I just want to write. Ganun. Ganun lang kasimple. Period.

I’m not a motivational speaker or a good conversationalist. I think I express myself better in writing than telling story using my tongue. This blog (and my other blogs) is the extension of my innerself. This is who I am - sometimes may sense, sometimes non-sense (may masabi lang). Gets mo? Oops! Yes, it’s true. Correct. Exactly. Definitely. Absolutely. Confirmed. MISMO!!!

So, what’s new?

None. Nothing. Zero. In tagalong, WALA!!! May sense ba tong post na to? WALA din! May reklamo? Sa prisinto ka na magpaliwanag!!! :p
.
P.S. May naread b u na wrong gramar? Wrong speling? Wer? W/c post? Tel me kng yaw u masaktan!!! Wapak!!! :p

GOOD NEWS!!!

This blog used to be a venue of the things that bothered me; the things that I couldn’t extract in my tongue because most of it were unconstructive point of views. Now, it’s over (or maybe not). But one thing is sure - my rejuvenated outlook and stronger faith will direct me to the realization of my purpose in life. This will be the start of a new chapter. And this time, I promise to be optimistic. Or should I say I’ll just put the distressing ones to the bin? Just kidding. Hehe!

My New Home

I just want to occupy a few spaces to tell the world that I do not lament relocating from other network to Blogger due to the following reasons:

A. Blog gives me the opportunity to use my mental faculties; to contemplate on different issues that is important to me and the people around me (literally and figuratively).
B. Blog serves as a good outlet in releasing positive and negative vibrations.
C. Blog reach out to old friends. I also meet various types of people as if I am part of their lives even though we are in different parts of the world and in fact never really met.
D. Blog encourages me to look back in the past; live in the present; and make plans for the future.
E. Blog challenges me to have a goal in life not just for myself and my family but more importantly as human and as citizen of this country.
F. Blog excites me everyday as if I have found a new job minus 325 pesos daily wage and a boss.
G. Blog speeds up my typing skills. And, I am also learning how to type without looking at the keyboard.
H. Blog is more private compare to ----------. Except of course, if you plug it to your friends or another blog addict happens to pass by.
I. Blog offers freedom. I can write (or type) whatever I want. There is no such thing such as "bad essay" because no one would give me a failing grade of 3.0 for poor grammar and wrong spelling.
J. Blog is an instant learning institution. It’s not just about Arithmetic or Law of Demand and Supply. It’s about life. It’s about us.

That’s all. I hope you will have your own soon (for those who doesn’t have one yet). You just have to try it.
