Points in Heaven (Re-Post)

There are people who are rich, gorgeous looking, bright and witty. They are successful in their chosen career. Their family is strong and happy. Their health is perfectly fine. But that’s not all, other people love them too. Because they are not just beautiful on the outside, they are good Samaritans too.

There are people who are rich, gorgeous looking, bright and witty. They are successful in their chosen career. Their family is strong and happy. Their health is perfectly fine. However, their neighbors treat them like strangers. Others keep their boundaries intact as if they have a contagious disease. Because they are unkind, selfish and inconsiderate.

Therea are people who are not so rich. They live in a subdivision with goats and cows strolling in the street. They are very hardworking employees yet they are receiving minimum wage. Their family has never run out of problem. Nevertheless, other people love them despite the difficult life. Because they remain faithful to their values. They are loving people, always ready to lend a hand to those who need it.

Their family has never run out of problem. Worst, their neighbors despise their existence because they always spread malicious gossip. With their disordered behaviour, everyone is advised to be vigilant.

There are people who are beyond the poverty level. They live in slum areas. They don’t have a permanent job. They can’t even afford to replace their old and soiled slipper. However, other people still admire their way of life. They remain enthusiastic in the midst of their condition. They don’t steal. They would rather die in starvation than to cheat in order to have something to put in the table. And most importantly they are respectful and trustworthy.

There are people who are living beyond the poverty level. They live in slum areas. They don’t have a permanent job. They can’t even afford to replace their old and soiled slipper. And lastly, their neighbors would do everything to avoid them. Because they are also considered the most notorious. Always involve in illegal operation. They say they don’t have money but they can buy alcoholic beverage and a pack of cigarette everyday.

Some are blessed to have good life. Some can be regard as poorest of the poor. There are people who work more but earn less. However, there are also people who work less but earn more. This may sound unfair but that’s a fact. We are different in many ways. But regardless of our status in the society, we can always choose to be a blessing to other people.

A popular culinary instructor once said: “When you do good things, you earn points in heaven. When you have nothing and at the same time a pain in the ass, what kind of life will you have in the future?” A good life does not only happen on earth. A good life also exists after physical death. Real future is not here. It’s either in heaven or in hell (if you believe that there is heaven and hell).

Do you know how many points you have already earned in heaven?

No idea? Neither do I (Is there anyone who can invent a card and swipe machine for this?)
